Marvel’s Avengers is all about Superhero teams. You can play with your friends like Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Kamala Khan and Black Widow, confronting legions of AIM robots and various super powerful bad guys.
If you are wondering if you can have a buddy and face the forces of evil for a little local multiplayer shared screen action, we fear that it is not a functionality supported in the game. Marvel’s Avengers does not support No form of local multiplayer, so if you want to team up with your friends, it will have to be done online. You should also keep in mind that the game does not support the crossed game either, so you can only play with friends on the same platform as you.
The absence of shared screen is actually fully understandable. Marvel’s Avengers is a visually intensive game, then expected that the consoles of the current generation can run it on a shared screen would be a bit exaggerated. The lack of CrossPlay is a little more disappointing. CrossPlay is becoming a desired feature for players who want to abandon the limits of the war of brands and simply play with their friends.
There is a small chance we see the local multiplayer get to the game at some point in the future. Crystal Dynamics plans to take care of the game for many years after its launch, and it is possible that the feature arrives in a future update, even if we would not bet our helicarrier on it.
